What do you love most about being part of Burton Enright Welch?

Two things:

  1. The team we have built here at Burton Enright Welch to serve our clients.
  2. The fact that we are truly independent. We own the firm and the advice we give clients, not some other disinterested third party that has never met our clients.

what quality of yours makes you best-Suited to what you do?

My ability to look at the big picture and still focus on the small details that actually get things done.

What do you enjoy most about Financial Planning?

Watching people become less stressed about their finances which ultimately leads them to make better decisions.

What's the biggest challenge?

Taking complex subject matters and explaining them in a way that doesn't require someone to be an expert in acronyms.

how should people think about their wealth

As a means to an end.

what professional accomplishment are you most proud of?

Taking the time and energy to attain my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation.

what would you be doing if you weren't working at burton enright welch?

Building something with my hands.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Being outdoors and helping my wife raise our growing family.

what personal accomplishment are you most proud of?

Hiking to the bottom (and back to the top!) of the Grand Canyon and The Great Wall in the same year.

What was the most influential book you’ve read and why?

How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie. Life is full of things to worry about. Having a way to handle those worries makes a huge difference.
